I am a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in the care of children, adolescents, and adults, with over a decade of clinical experience. As a physician, I offer a comprehensive, medically-informed understanding of mental health that integrates biological, psychological, and social perspectives. My approach to care is grounded in the belief that true healing requires seeing the whole person—not just their symptoms—and tailoring treatment to their unique story and needs.

Throughout my training and career, I have worked in a wide range of clinical settings—including community mental health clinics, inpatient psychiatric units for teens and adults, and psychiatric emergency rooms. I have also served in hospital systems, providing psychiatric consultation for children and adults admitted for medical reasons, helping to address the mental health aspects of their overall care.

While my clinical work often involves medication management, I believe treatment is never just about medications. My approach integrates psycho- therapeutic strategies into every phase of care. I start with a comprehensive intake process that includes a detailed psychiatric interview, standardized assessments as needed, and when appropriate and with consent, collateral information from caregivers, schools etc. My goal is to understand each person in the context of their full story—not just a diagnosis—so that we can build a personalized, collaborative plan that may include medication, therapy referrals, lifestyle changes, or other supportive interventions.

I work with individuals facing a wide range of concerns, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, grief, family and relationship challenges, college/early adulthood transitions, gender identity exploration, sexual orientation conflicts, and career changes.

In my work with children and adolescents, I actively engage families, recognizing that a young person’s environment and relationships play a vital role in their mental health. I aim to support not only the individual child but the entire family system. In my work with adults, I pay close attention to the influence of life context, stressors, and identity. While we may not be able to change the world around us, we can gain insight into ourselves, develop coping strategies, and find more intentional ways to navigate life. My work is grounded in reflection, curiosity, and respect for each person’s inner experience.

Across all areas of my work, I remain deeply committed to cultural humility and an awareness of intersectionality—the ways in which overlapping identities, lived experiences, and systems of privilege or oppression shape mental health. I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse racial, cultural, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds including those with diverse sexual orientations and gender identities. I recognize that care must be responsive to the complexities of identity—both visible and unseen. I strive to create a space that is inclusive, trauma-informed, nonjudgmental, and free from discrimination and bias where people, can reflect, explore, and grow with a sense of safety and agency.
