Diagnosis

We provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations tailored to the patient's age and clinical complexity. All evaluations include:

    •Review of current concerns, goals, and strengths

•Review of prior records and rating scales (if applicable)  

•Psychiatric diagnostic interview

•Education and collaborative treatment planning

•Communication with other involved providers (when applicable, with consent)

Children (ages 12 and under)

The initial evaluation consists of three parts

 • 40-minute interview with parent(s)/guardian(s

• 40-minute individual session with the child

• 40-minute feedback session to review diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations

Adolescents (ages 13-17)

The initial evaluation includes three parts:

 • 40-minute joint session with adolescent and family

  • 40-minute individual session with the adolescent

• 40-minute feedback session for diagnosis and treatment planning

Adults (ages 18 and up)

The initial evaluation typically includes:

 • 60-minute diagnostic interview

• 30-minute follow-up feedback session to discuss findings and treatment options

Medication Management:

For established patients, follow-up appointments lasting 25 to 50 minutes will include brief psychotherapy, a review of treatment response, and reassessment of the treatment plan as needed. This may involve medication adjustments or tapering when appropriate.
